Lia Heasman
Counsel | Castrén & Snellman
Lia Heasman (Ph.D. in Law) works as a Counsel at Castrén & Snellman specializing in ESG and corporate sustainability compliance and risk.
Lia has an extensive background in sustainability and human rights, with experience both in Finland and abroad. In addition, Lia has broad experience in identifying and leveraging strategic value creation opportunities within ESG. Prior to joining Castrén & Snellman, she served as a Director of ESG Transaction Services at KPMG in Sydney.
During the event, Lia will give a keynote on the regulation of new technologies and their role in innovation. She will also provide insights into the benefits and challenges that regulation presents for sustainable investments.

Peter Lindström
Chief ESG Specialist | Danske Bank
Peter Lindström serves as Chief ESG Specialist at Danske Bank managing customer relationships on responsible investment related topics and Danske Bank’s ESG Education Program in Finland. Moreover, he is a member of Danske Bank’s Emerging Market Equities team.
Before joining Danske Bank, Peter has gained wide-ranging expertise in responsible and sustainable investing, working in London and New York in various expert and managerial positions.
At the Student Investment Summit, Peter will give a keynote on how different technologies affect investing and what kind of new sustainable investment opportunities might arise from new technologies.
Maria Liby-Troein
Associate Partner | Bain & Company
Maria Liby-Troein joined Bain & Company in 2015 and currently serves as an Associate Partner at Bain’s Stockholm office, specialising in private equity and sustainability. Maria has extensive knowledge across the investing value chain in helping investors navigate and invest behind the sustainability transition.
In addition, Maria leads the Bain Nordics Sustainability Academy, which is an executive education program designed by Bain in collaboration with the Stockholm School of Economics Executive Education. Before joining Bain, Maria worked in strategy consulting and market research in New York, London, and Beijing.
At the event, Maria will give a keynote speech on her expertise in how private equity investors are including ESG considerations in their fund strategies.
